This reading has really cemented my belief that the classroom layout in our schools is very inadequate. I have maintained that there is a need for serious revision in the design of new schools. There has to be a collaboration between the educators, planners in education, visionaries of ICT and the gov't. The Whole ICT initiative has to see change in the structure of classrooms. I am afraid that if there is no change this initiative will be frustrated.
We do not have to wait for ICT before examining our teaching methods. Reflection is a natural part of teaching. ICT is a tool that has to be used as it is the next big thing for education in SVG.
